Image of Fleetwood Museum

The museum is housed in the Custom House built in 1838. The collections concentrate on the history and development of Fleetwood from its foundation by Sir Peter Hesketh.

The displays feature the rise of Victorian visitors to the town in order to take the sea air and the railway companies that provided the transport. The whole business of fishing, both deep sea and inshore is also explained by way of excellent models, photographs, maps and artefacts.
